HOW TO DOWNGRADE WINDOWS 10 WINDOWS 7 OR 8.1 / UNINSTALL WINDOWS 10 TO WINDOWS 7 OR 8.1

How To Downgrade Windows 10:

If you’ve upgraded a PC to Windows 10 — not performed a clean install, but an upgrade — you’ll have an easy option that lets you revert to the last version of Windows. To access this, open the Start menu and select Settings. Click the “Update & security” icon and select “Recovery.”

If you upgraded your PC to windows, if it wasn\’t a clean install, but an upgrade, it can easily be reverted or downgraded to the last version of Windows. 

Step 1: Launch the start menu and select settings. Click \”Update & Security\”

Step 2: You will see “Go back to Windows 7″ or “Go back to Windows 8.1″ option. Click the Get started button to get rid of your Windows 10 install and restore your previous Windows install. Microsoft will ask you why you want to go back.

If you have had your windows 10 for over a month(30 Days), or if you have run Windows Disk cleanup and removed\”Previous Windows Installation\”- you won\’t see this option. Windows 10 also appears to automatically remove the old Windows installation files after a month to free up space.

This works because Windows 10 stores your old Windows installation in the folder named “C:\\Windows.old” on your computer. You can see this folder in File Explorer, though you shouldn’t attempt to delete it from here.

Step 3: You can browse to “C:\\Windows.old” and restore your previous files.

This process works because Windows 10 saves your old Windows installation in a folder “C:\\Windows.old\” on your local disk.disk. YOU WILL SEE THE FILE BUT DON\’T DELETE IT.

Step 4: Open Disk Cleanup,Click the Start button, type “Disk cleanup” to search for it, launch it, and click the “Clean up system files”

Step 5: Find ‘Previous Windows installation(s)” in the list, and you’ll see just how much space on your hard drive it consumes. If you’re sure you don’t want to go back to your previous version of Windows, use Disk Cleanup tool to remove those files and immediately free up space.
