How To Install And Run Android On Your Chromebook
Step 1 : Turn on Developer mode by holding the the ESC and Refresh F3 then tap the Power button.(Differs on other chromebooks).
Step 1a: Once in recovery, press Crtl+D to activate developer mode.Your Chromebook will reboot,and you will hear two beeps. And all your data will be wiped.
Step 2 : Press Crtl+D to skip waiting 30 Seconds,while on the recovery screen.
Step 3 : Make a Bootable Android x86 USB,with Rufus.
Step 4 : Open Rufus,search for the file location of Android x86.iso and click start,it wil automatically complete and disconnect.
Step 5 : Enable Legacy Bios on the Chrome login screen by pressing Crtl-Alt-F to enter a shell window. It has to be done in order to boot from your Pen drive/Flash drive
Step 6 : Once inside the shell window type in the following: ( source https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Your Laptop Brand_Model Number_Chromebook )
Step 7 : chronos (for the username)
Step 8 : sudo bash (for Superuser privileges)
Step 9 : crossystem dev_boot_usb=1
Step 10: dev_boot_legacy=1
sudo reboot
Step 11: Sudo reboot
Step 12: Chromebook will reboot. Now, on the OS verification (recovery) screen, hit Crtl+L to bring up legacy bios,then Esc to bring up the boot menu. Finally, choose your USB device and Android should be booting.

Step 6 is telling you to type what is in step 7. The web address is just them siting their source for the information.
